Warren Neal Albright was the only child born to Samuel Perkins and Alice McGuire Tankersley Albright of Rockcastle County, Kentucky.

Warren was reared near Livingston by his mother and Grandmother Tankersley. He spent summers and fun times with his family at their homestead, known as Pap's Hill, near Brodhead, Kentucky. His father, Samuel, was a hardworking and very supportive parent. Warren spent time with him in Corbin and Louisville, Kentucky, the end of his run for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad.

Warren attended high school in Livingston and went to college at Sue Bennett, at University of Louisville, and graduated in 1951 from the University of Kentucky after spending a tour in the Navy. His father Samuel also served in the Navy during World War I.

During a snow storm in November of 1950, Warren had an accident and had his car towed into Mt. Vernon. During the same storm, Lois Reynolds was in Mt. Vernon having chains put on her car in an effort to get to school out in the county. They were introduced by a mutual friend over a cup of coffee at the Mount Vernon Cafe.

Warren had been working in West Virginia for a coal company and Lois was teaching at Climax School. They were married in London, KY, on April 1, 1951, and moved to Louisville where they lived eight years. During those years Warren was employed by South Central Bell as an Electrical Engineer. Warren and Lois began their family in Louisville with Melanie Jo, Benton Neal, and Jeffrey Reynolds Albright.

In 1959 Warren was transferred to Birmingham, Alabama to put into place new engineering procedures for the Bell Company. Anne Elisabeth completed Warren and Lois' family in 1963.

Warren retired in 1987, he was an avid reader and could now enjoy his favorite pastime.
