Dorothy Landwehr Mallott a lifetime resident of North Harris County, was born on May 22, 1900 to William Walter Landwehr and Georgie Eva Crain. Dorothy married Willard Earl Mallott on November 16, 1926. In the Spring of 1937, Dorothy and her family moved to Spring, Texas and established a grocery business. Later their son Willard Jr. followed in their footsteps with his own storew. For six decades, the Mallott name was on a family business in Spring. Mrs. Mallott was a member of Immanuel United Church in Spring for Seventy-four years. She served as President of the Women's Guild and was a tireless worker in the church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy (qualifying as a real Granddaughter of the confederacy) and the Eastern Star. Dorothy was preceeded in death by her husband, Willard Mallott Sr., her beloved son, Willard Jr., and five of her six siblings. She is survived by her sister, Lois Landwehr Durrenberger of Beautmont, daughters: Margaret Mallott Smith of Spring, Norma Mallott Johnson and husband Berle Johnson of Willis and Sue Mallott of Spring; son, Joe Mallott of Florida, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her specialcaregiver, Ana Martinez; and other loving family and friends.
