---He was born on December 31, 1912, at Brashear, MO the son of Oscar and Christina Derry Ebert. He was married to Ruby Jones on July 3, 1935 in Kimball County, Nebraska, she preceded him in death on August 1, 1989. Virgil married Mabel Fahrenholz on June 4, 1991 at Auburn, NE, she survives him at the home.
---Virgil had been active in farming all of his life. While living in IL he had worked as a Farm Consultant and a Farm Manager, raising dairy cattle and hogs. He was a member of the Cairo Baptist Church. Virgil is also survived by three sons, Donald Ebert of Moberly, MO; Ronald Ebert of Libby, MT; Larry Ebert of Keytesville, MO; one daughter, Donna Jean Morris of Moberly, MO; one sister-in-law, Irene Ebert of Kirksville, MO; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
---He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Granville, Clifford and Sherman Ebert; two-half sisters Ethel Ebert and Edna Lake.
---Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, MO on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Keytesville City Cemetery, Keytesville, MO.
