Mary L. Skarka, age 82, Council Bluffs, passed away Thursday, April 28th, 2011, at her residence.
Mary was born in Denison, Texas, on September 3, 1928, to Ora and Helen Brown Collins and graduated from Omaha Central High School. She attended college for two years. Mary formerly worked at WOW television for 15 years, and for Dr. Knott in Council Bluffs. Mary is a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Maynard, in 2000.
She is survived by son, Maynard and his wife, Lauren, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Chad Crawford and wife, Stephanie, Jeff Crawford; brother, Dr. Edwin Collins, of Bandera, Texas.
