He was a manufacturer of lumber, lath & shingles, Stevensville, Bradford Co., PA and a son of Edward Jesse and Emeline (Potter) Eastabrook. He was educated in the common school and at Warner's Commercial College, Elmira, NY. He began life for himself at 20 and took up lumbering. In 1883 he engaged in business with Elmer F. Stevens. On Jan. 19, 1885, he married Ella, dau. of Jonathan and Sarah (Rockwell) Stevens, and they had 2 dear children: Mildred Clara & Victor S. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, of which he was the long-time Sunday school superintendent. However, his first true love, was Eva E. Briggs.
