United States Army Major General. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1913 and served in France during World War I with the Second Army. During World War II he served in Europe as the commander of the 9th Infantry Division and as commander of the XXth Corps. He was acting commander of the Third Army. He was Inspector General of the Army from 1948 until his retirement in 1952. He was the brother of Army Chief of Staff, Marlin Craig.
