Lucille McDowell, 78, of Witt died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at her home. She was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Rountree Township, the daughter of Grover and Zora Allphin Land. She married Charles E. McCowell; he died in 1998. Mrs. McDowell was a homemaker. Survivors: a sister, Almeda Eddington of Irving; a brother, Forrest (wife, Helen) Land of East Peoria; nine nephews; and six nieces. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Witt, the Rev. James Howie officiating. Burial: Woodise Cemetery in Fillmore.
