Mrs. Sarah W. Gowen died in the Home
for Aged Women following a short illness.
Widow of Emelous Gowen.
She has resided in our town since her marriage. Her activities in the church and
as a nurse was well known. She was highly respected, and had a great many friends, especially at what is known as 'The Ferry'.
Very early in life she became a member of the Union Congregational Church, and as long as her health permitted, she took a great interest and was very active in all
its work.
As a practical nurse it was her privilege
to minister to the needs of many homes
in our town and rendered a helpful service.
