Aunty Doris was the first of four children. She married Cliff Whitfield and between them owned and managed a furniture store. They had one daughter, Shirley. They retired to Bournemouth and spent their later years golfing, doing charitable work and raising their only daughter, Shirley. They came to the United States for a fortnight in 1972 or 73 and visited all of the major attractions in central Florida. Uncle Cliff passed away in 1979 from renal cancer.
