Margaret was born October 13th, 1919 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She and Bert moved to Brewton in 1944 when he began working for T.R. Miller Mill Co. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, led and taught various women's groups, directed the choir and volunteered countless hours over the last 70+ years. She was a member of the Brewton Garden Club and loved flowers and gardening.
She opened her home to many over the years and enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her guest. Her blueberry gingerbread won first place in one of the first blueberry festivals and has remained a local favorite.
Whether she was teaching a class, playing the piano, gardening or cooking a meal, she did it with love and a desire that it all be done to the glory of God. She will be missed by her family and by the community of Brewton.
