William "Bib" J. Marsters 78, of Mashpee, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 6, 2011. Born and raised in Houghs Neck, Quincy. Honored Veteran who served in the Army during the Korean War. He was proud to serve as a Quincy Fire Fighter for 25 years. He also owned and operated Bibs Service Station in Houghs Neck for over 50 years. He enjoyed digging clams with his late brothers Earle and Robert, spending winters in Key Colony Beach, FL and summering on the Cape with his family and friends. He was a beloved husband to Mary Lillian Marsters for 54 years. Devoted father of Debi McManus, husband Tim of Northboro, Nancy Litif, husband Mike of Quincy, William Marsters Jr. and wife Christine of Fort Lauderdale, Stephen Marsters, wife Denise of Weymouth, John Marsters, wife Debbie of Weymouth, Paul Marsters, wife Catherine of Quincy, Marybeth Francis, husband Lawrence of Weymouth and Eric Marsters of Mashpee along with 16 grandchildren, Stephen, Meghan, Sean, T.J, Ashley, Keri, John T, Kenny, Kerstin, Michael, Kevin, Samantha, Matthew, Connor, Gregory, Nichole. Bib was also the brother of the late Robert and Earle Marsters of Mashpee. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Church, Mashpee Commons on Tuesday, May 10 at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd., (Rte. 28) Marstons Mills on Monday 4 - 8 p.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15.
