Jack, died Saturday at the age of 85.

Mr. Balzer retired from Oldsmobile after 35 years of service and served in the U.S. Navy in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grand father.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Balzer of 53 years and his mother, Marie Balzer.

Surviving are his 3 sons, Ronald (Johanna) Balzer, Dean (Lisa) Balzer and Robert Balzer; grandchildren, Kathryn (Stephen) Reed, Shannon (Jeff) Proctor, Sunshine (Tishyn) Mildton, Jeremiah (Micaela) Balzer, and Lorinda (Nicholas) Starr; great-grandchildren, Gregory Armstrong, Nicholas, Nathan, and Madisyn Reed, Kalyn Proctor, Jack Balzer and Xayvion Mildton.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 19, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing with the Rev. Mark Johnson of the Gunnisonville United Methodist Church, officiating.

Those desiring may make contributions to Sparrow Neuro-Intensive Care, Lansing, MI or the American Lung Association, Lansing, MI in memory of Mr. Balzer.
