Former RS Resident Dies

Former Rock Springs resident Ada Rosella Pate Sellers, died in her home in Ogden, Utah on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11 p.m.

She was born in Union, Salt Lake County, Utah on Jan. 4, 1902, the daughter of Ezra Greenwood Pate and Ada Rosella Sharp.

She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States from 1926 to 1928.

She was married to Richard Eugene Sellers in the Salt Lake Temple April 10, 1933 and had been a resident of Rock Springs until 1962 when her husband retired and they moved to Ogden. She went on an LDS mission to England with her husband in 1970 and 1971.

She is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters, Ella Katherine Macurdy, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Eugene Elden Sellers, Eden; Raymond Roy Sellers, Ft. Bridger; Ida Marie Franc of Rock Springs; Eva Louise Mudrow of Devil’s Slide, Utah and John Albert Sellers of Imperial, Calif.

Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by two children, Richard and Dale Sellers and Rose Ada Sellers Simonson. She has 39 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindquist Mortuary Chapel in Ogden on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial and graveside services will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rock Springs at 4 p.m.
