Selma Ruth Pedigo, 75, of Clearwater, passed away on May 19, 2011.
Born October 29, 1935 in Woodville, Mississippi, she moved to Safety Harbor as a new
bride in 1953. She is survived by Bob, her husband of 58 years; one
brother, Arthur Pogue, of Benoit, Mississippi; three children Martee
and Jim of Clearwater, and Rob of Safety Harbor; six grandchildren,
and five great-grandchildren. Ruth was a faithful member of the First
Presbyterian Church of Safety Harbor for 58 years. She was also active
in the Lion's Club, the Questers Club, the Depression Glass Club, the
Safety Harbor Museum, and the Neighborhood Family Service Center to
name a few.
She was her family's "Steel Magnolia" and will be deeply missed by
them and her many friends.
The visitation is on Tuesday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service
at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Safety Harbor. Burial
will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in
her name to First Presbyterian Church of Safety Harbor. Moss Feaster Clearwater.
