To celebrate the life of Ida Mae, of Moreno Valley, at the age of 80 years old, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Ida Mae was born in Brooklyn, Mo., on September 16, 1929.
She attended school in Perry County, Mississippi. She married in 1946 to the late Hezekiah Bolton, a United States Marine. They lived in several military locations before settling in Barstow in 1950. Her second husband was James A. Behn Jr. They married in Las Vegas in 1958 and continued to live in Barstow with a few short-term relocations to San Bernardino.
Ida Mae was a very longtime resident of Barstow. She moved away in 2005 to live with relatives. She finally settled in San Bernardino for a few years before her last move to Moreno Valley, earlier this year.
Ida Mae is survived by sisters, Beatrice Carter of Hattiesburg, Mo., and Curt Peters of Chicago, Ill.; and brothers, Jonah McLeod of El Paso, Texas, Andrew Breland Jr., of Janice, Mo., Clevis Breland of New Augusta, Mo.
She is survived by seven children, Drexzell and son-in-law, Tarence Glasker of Mission Viejo, Laura and son-in-law, Julius Poole of Youngstown, Ohio, Barron and daughter-in-law, Joyce Behn of Buena Park, James III and daughter-in-law, Gwen Behn of San Bernardino, Frieda Davis of Moreno Valley, Gregory Bolton of Barstow, Hezekiah and daughter-in-law, Ella Bolton of Vancouver, Wash.
Survived by grandchildren, Ashanti Kincannon, Camisha Glasker, Casandra Arthur, Natasha Moore, Sherina and Tiffiany Davis, Makiba Bolton, Tarence J. Glasker, Julius Poole Jr., James A. Behn, Lamar Bolton, Jason Davis, Gregory Bolton Jr., Travis Bolton, and Hezekiah Bolton III. She is survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
