Serious After Accidents
One man remained in critical condition and another was in serious condition today from injuries received last night in two related traffic accidents on Ocean Drive. Leon Levern Keller, 31, whose taxicab was involved in a head-on collision, was reported still in critical condition at Memorial Hospital. Martin Ramon Miller, 36, of 1225 1/2 Third Street, driver of the other car in the collision with the taxi, is in serious condition, also at Memorial Hospital. Miller's car struck the taxi at 7:05 p.m. in the 1300 block of Ocean Drive, moments after being involved in a sideswiping accident with a Navy car carrying Rear Adm. Kleber S. Masterson of Washington, D.C., chief of the Navy Bureau of weapons. Neither Masterson nor the Navy driver, Donald H. Roberts, was injured. Two sailors who were riding in the cab driven by Keller, A-T-3 Frederick E. Fox, 20, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and A-M-3 Elwood Eaton, 20, of Parkville, Md., received minor injuries. They were treated at the U.S. Naval Hospital and released this morning.
