"Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for John Schueth, who died Monday at St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged. Fr. Godrey Meirgerd officiated and burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery. John Schueth was born, March 12, 1864, at St. Charles to Carl and Margaret Schueth. He received his education in the St. Charles school and was married, April 22, 1891, to Lena Grovijohn at St. Charles. Three children were born to Mr.-Mrs. Schueth. They are Justina of Crofton, Otto of West Point and Rudolph of Minneapolis. Schueth has spent his life living in West Point. He was in the implement business and in later years worked as a carpenter. Survivors include his wife; three children; one brother, William, of West Point; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Out of town people attending the funeral were Mr.-Mrs. Rudolph Schueth of Minneapolis; Mr.-Mrs. Tony Bogner, Kay Bogner and Mr.-Mrs. Otto Bogner of Crofton; Mr.-Mrs. Herman Luedtke of Wisner; Mrs. Wm. Harms and Mr.-Mrs. Wm. Luedtke of Omaha; Mr.-Mrs. Wm. Goeken of Pankton, S.D.; and Irin Gehringer of Mohall, N. D."
