Preceded in death by parents, Alvin and O'Dessa Bullock Samples; sisters, Snowdell Mathis, Audrey Mathis, and Mary Holcombe; and brother, Junior Samples. Surviving are wife of 32 years, Patsy Green Samples; daughters, Peggy (Lamar) Green, Rita (Wayne) Allen, Mary Ann (Joseph) Hulsey, Lori (Trent) Duncan, and Elaine Samples; sons, Douglas (Denise) Samples, Billy Ray Samples, Brian Samples and Blake Samples; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola ( W. T.) Boyd, Dovie (Lewis) Perry,and Martha Givens; brothers, Monroe Samples and James (Shirley) Samples; sister-in-law, Grace Samples. Mr. Samples was a native of Forsyth Co. Burial Broadlawn Memorial Park.
