LEOMINSTER -- Brenda L. (Nash) Gilmour, 71 years old, of Leominster, died peacefully with her loving family by her side, Thursday, March 3, 2011, in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Gilmour and his wife, Lisa of Leominster, and Allen Gilmour and his wife, Leasha of Leominster; two daughters, Colleen Gilmour of Athol, and Jill Denis and her husband, Ken of Winchendon; a brother, Brian Nash and his wife, Ann of Townsend; two sisters, Gail Melanson and her husband, John of Fitchburg, and Karen Smith and her husband, Robert of Rutland; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Sager, April Brower, Christopher Denis, Rose Marie Denis, Aaron Gilmour, Ashleigh Gilmour and Parker Gilmour; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Sidney "Red" Gilmour in 1994. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Fred Nash, Jr. and Bruce Nash, and a sister, Marcia Dykes.

Mrs. Gilmour was born in Leominster, on February 3, 1940, daughter of Fred and Marjorie (Ellis) Nash, Sr., and was a lifelong resident.

She had worked at various plastic shops in the area for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.

GILMOUR -- A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 9:30 - 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Justin DeSantis Scholarship Fund, 6 North Street, Leominster, MA 01453 or the American Diabetes Association , 330 Congress St., #501, Boston, MA 02210-1258 or the Alzheimer's Association , 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
