Pearl Lee Flowers, 89, of 3102 Bristol Highway, Johnson City, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Flowers was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late John Henry and Mattie Cooper Arrowood.

She was a retired employee of Levi-Strauss and of the Church of God faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Robert, in 2000; and by one son, Ronald Scott Salyer.

Survivors include: one daughter, Jackie Flowers, of Johnson City; one son, Bobby and Corey Flowers, of Kingsport; two brothers, Bert and Pearlie Mae Arrwood, of Erwin, and Ernest Arrowood, of Erwin; one sister, Helen and George Davis, of Greeneville; five Grandchildren, Janine, Cindy, Michael, Jonathan and Christopher; and seven Great Grandchildren.

The family of Pearl Lee Flowers will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 PM on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Morris-Baker North Chapel.

The funeral service will follow at 8 PM in the North Chapel with Rev. George Davis officiating.

The committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, July 23, 2010, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:50 AM Friday. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

The family request that memorials be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital in Memphis, TN or to the American Bible Society.
