Dillard Trobaugh, 73, of Columbus died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at his home.

He retired in 1972 from Golden Foundry where he worked for 28 years. He attended Greensburg Nazarene Church and organized and managed the Trobaugh Family Singers for 18 years.

Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street, with David Burnett and the Rev. Ross Kirkman officiating. Calling will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Bartholomew County or Gideon's International.

Mr. Trobaugh was born in Moss, Tenn., Feb. 15, 1925, the son of William Harvey and Rose Ann McCormick Trobaugh. He married Mary A. Bailey Aug. 30, 1947, in Glasgow, Ky. She survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Donna Buchanan, JoAnn Gardner, Barbara Tichenor and Jenny Gardner, all of Westport, Sandra Lucas of Greensburg and Lisa Hill of Columbus; sons, Larry Trobaugh of Scipio and Bruce Trobaugh of Hartsville; sisters, Pauline Castell and Ova Hix, both of Indianapolis, Attrice Crawford of Belle Glade, Fla., and Myrtle Leonard of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brad Tichenor; four sisters; and one brother.
