Paula Enders Balasic was a circus bareback riding performer with her parents' Circus Enders in Hungary (today Romania) in 1904, along with her sister, Maria Enders Rieffenach. Paula was born in Ujszentanna, Hungary (today Santanna, Romania). Her father owned the Circus Enders in Temesvar, Hungary (today Timisoara, Romania). The family was ethnically Bohemian German. Paula married Victor Johann Balasic in Versecz, Hungary (today Vrsac, Serbia) in 1894. After the Circus Enders closed in 1905, Paula became a Vaudeville star with her husband Victor Balasic, and the Balasic Family acrobats. They performed in Europe and immigrated to the USA in 1923. Her sister had come to the USA in 1922 with her husband Simon A. Rieffenach with their bareback riding act. Simon had been the Ringmaster of the Circus Enders.
