Helen and Charlie lived in Cambridge, Nebraska for many years where she taught piano and Charlie worked as a traveling salesman. In the early fifties, they moved to Deming, New Mexico where Charlie could continue his interest in collecting Indian artifacts.
They were divorced and Helen moved to Wray and lived with her sister Lillian and her husband, Baxter Baird until the time of her death. Charlie and Helen did not have any children.
