Dawn M. Dirkmann, 31, of 894 Rolling Green Dr., Green Bay, died Sunday morning, June 19, 2011, at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, after a life long battle with lung and heart disease.

Dawn was born on April 9, 1980, in Two Rivers, daughter of Ed Dirkmann and Jolene Mott Diedrich. She attended school in Mishicot and graduated with the class of 1998 from Mishicot High School, and later earned a Bachelor's Degree from Lakeland College. Dawn was a web developer for BayCare of Green Bay until the time of her death. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, vacationing, cooking, and going on motorcycle rides.

Dawn is survived by her father, Ed Dirkmann, Mishicot; mother and step-father, Jolene (Michael) Diedrich, Brandon, FL; sister, Dee Dee Dirkmann and her special friend, Donny Krizek and Don's son, Michael Krizek, all of Two Rivers; step-brother, Jeffrey Diedrich, Manitowoc; step-sister, Brenda Staab, Manitowoc; Dawn's significant other for the past ten years, Shane Salentine, Green Bay, and his parents, Thomas (Joan) Salentine, Casco; aunts and uncles, Dave (Lynne) Dirkmann, Mishicot; Don (Sue) Dirkmann, Mishicot; Jim (Annette) Surfus, Greenfield; Tom (Kay) Surfus, Avon, IN; Sandy (Doug) Morris, Rosecrans; Dale (Nancy) Mott, Mishicot, Joe Mott, Manitowoc; other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011, at St. Francis of Assisi Grand Ave. Site 1416 Grand Ave. Manitowoc. Rev. Dan Felton will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment of her cremated remains will take at Knollwood Mausoleum.
