Artist. Also known as "Heizaemon Akatsuka, he is famous for his works in gold lacquer, using the "maki-e" technique, as well for some of his oil paintings. A member of the "Teikoku Geijutsu-in (Imperial Art Academy), many of his creations are on display in museums in metropolitan Tokyo and other areas of Japan.
