A native of Randolph County, he moved to Muncie 66 years ago from Royerton. He retired from Ball Corp. in 1951 after working there as a machinist for 27 years.
Survivors include his widow, Nellie, his wife of 67 years; a son, Lloyd A. Dill, Indianapolis; a grandson and three great-grandsons; one brother, Roy Dill, Edison, Ohio; and a sister, Iona VanMatre, Muncie.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Harold Frederick, pastor of the DeSoto United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday or prior to services Wednesday.
