GATE CITY, Va. - Frankie Lane Bishop, 79, entered into rest Tuesday (June 19, 2001) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born on July 30, 1921 in Scott County, Va., a daughter of the late Charles W. and Leota Bellamy Lane.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Lionel Bishop, Gate City, Va.; one daughter, Linville Bishop, Kingsport; three sisters, Polly Boy Smith and Georgie Tipton, both of Kingsport, and Colleen Fields, Gate City, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Clifford Pierson and the Rev. Billy Gillespie officiating.
Music will be provided by the Marble Point Church Choir.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holston View Cemetery. The family will be meeting at the cemetery for the graveside services.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
