KINGSPORT - Polly Bell Boy Smith, 79, entered into rest Thursday (April 25, 2002) at Indian Path Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County, Va., on Dec. 9, 1923 to the late Charles Wesley Lane and Leota Bellamy Lane.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Deadrick Boy, 1981 and her second husband, Tollie Smith, 2001; son, Charles Deadrick "C.D." Boy, Jr.; and sister, Frankie Bishop.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ronnie Dingus, Gate City, Va.; several stepchildren; two sisters, Colleen Fields, Gate City, Va., and Georgia Tipton, Kingsport; grandchildren, Ronnie Dingus, Jr., Rhnea Saez, Brigitte Boy and Andrea Boy; great-granddaughters, Amanda and Ashley Saez; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Frazier and the Rev. Vernon McDavid officiating.
Music will be provided by Junior Smith and the Family Tradition.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va.
The family will be meeting at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lionel Bishop, Daryle Hurd, Michael Saez, Jimmy Dingus, Raymond Dingus and Charlie Rhoton.
