Please add Hessie Mildred Jackson Cooper, as the 6th child of Mildred Lewis Cobb Jackson and Colonel William Henry Jackson. She was born ca.1828, according to 1860 census, Clark County, GA. She died of a fever, September 26, 1864 in Glenwood, Florida, near Gainesville, Florida, along with three of her six children. Information of her death verified from a transcribed family letter written from her sister-in-law Mary D. Cooper to Hessie’s niece, Mary Ann Lamar, dated September 28, 1864. Additional transcribed appended letter to Hessie’s sister, Martha Cobb Jackson Grant from Mary Ann Lamar ( dated October 7, 1864. Location of Hessie’s gravesite with those of her children is unknown, probably near Gainesville Florida. Hessie Mildred Jackson Cooper was my great great grandmother thru ancestral line of my maternal grandmother, whose father was John Cobb Cooper, (1861-1933) of Jacksonville, Florida, a surviving son of Hessie Jackson Cooper.
