Second marriage:
Roy Sr and Edith Belle Willette had no children together.

(Sr)Edith B. Willette already had a girl named (Jr)Edith grace Gasser from a privious marrage with Oscar Gasser. We think he died in the military during ww2.

The fact that the Scherer family left no 3rd marriage history and did not even know Roy Sr's wife's last name.

The "Gasser" family children stayed in Detroit with cousins and only had the photos now posted and the stories passed down of their early life.

I believe Roy Sr and his 3rd wife lived and died a private life together. It looks as if Roy buried Edith with the intent of being with her side by side, but why is there a missing spouse marker? I don't know.

Roy's first wife is Florance Alice Palmer. Second wife Katherine Kay Wood d:Oct 1977.

Edith's family did not know where her body was. I had a hard time finding where the memorials are because the Scherer family seemed to have had a close control or Edith's family was unknown and too far away in Michigan.

I do not have any clue what happened to Roy Sr's body? His spouse spot is empty next to Edith as seen in this cemetery photo. He may be with one of the other spouses? Edith died Aug 1982 in California and Roy died in Nov 1982 at Grant's Pass, Oregon which was their last residence.

My guess is that Roy Sr bought two grave plots for him and his last wife Edith. She died a few months before him. And when he died his family seperated his wish and done him for what they wanted and left an empty plot. Anyway, thats what it looks like. Later, we were advised that Roy Sr was in fact in Oregon, unknown graveyard.
