Dovie McConnell
Clinchport, Va. ____ Dovie Almedia (Aunt) McConnell, 82, of Clinchport, Va., died Sunday at 7:25 a.m. at Holston Valley Community Hospital after a brief illness. She was a member of the Manville Holiness Church, was lifelong resident of Scott County Va.

She is survived by two sons, Rev, R.E. McConnell, Gate City, and William Lyle McConnell, Montrose, N.Y.; nine daughters, Mrs. Bascomb (Margaret) Pendleton, Mrs. Harry (Elizabeth) Snodgrass, Mrs. Ernest (Wanda) Webb, Mrs. Venice Booth, all of Kingsport, Mrs. Parker (Donia) White, Clinchport, Mrs. William D. (Lillian) Salyer, Gate City, Va., Mrs. Lloyd (Agnes) Bellamy, Bristol, Va., Mrs Carl (Frankie) Peters, Rt. 1, Gate City, Mrs. Charles (Mary Sue) Mohr, Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Jamie Alley, Kingsport; two sisters, Mrs. O.F. (Victoria) Gilliam, Jonesboro, Tenn, and Mrs. Roy (Edna) Nichols, Indianapolis, Ind.; 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Warren Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie (Aunt) Almedia McConnell, 82, who died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday at Holston Valley Community Hospital, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Manville Holiness Church with the Rev. Buford Blankenbeckler, the Rev. Granville Peters, and the Rev. Claude Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Holston View Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Kay White, Robert E. McConnell, Jr., Tracy Pendleton, David Snodgrass, Harry Lee Snodgrass, Jr., Richard Rhoten, Billy White, David White. Warren Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
