Mrs. Weigand was a food service manager for the University of Chicago/Circle Campus. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. On June 26, 1937, in Chicago, she married William Weigand, who died May 25, 1979. Her parents also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann (LeRoy) Fell, of LaPorte; two sons, William (Gazella) of Edgewater, Md., and Thomas (Irene) of Jensen, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Edward and Robert Fell, Corinne Weigand, Odette Rivers, Victoria Snyder, Ann Marie Martinez and Christie Dinan; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Martin Cingle of Chicago.
A funeral Mass will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, LaPorte, with Rev. Joseph Angotti officiating. Friends may call at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 3 p.m.; and Thursday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Ill., with a chapel service Thursday at 1 p.m. following the funeral.
