McKINNEY - Calvin Roy Pitts, 77, died Saturday June 25, 2011 in McKinney.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday June 29 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel.
Officiating will be Rob Gore. Interment will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
Survivors are wife Ann Pitts of McKinney; daughters Sabrina Kirby of Odessa, Jeanne Clark of Columbus, Ohio; sons Chuck Culp of Blacklick, Ohio, Tim Culp of Gahanna, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society .

Calvin Roy Pitts, age 77, passed away at home on June 25, 2011, in McKinney, Texas. Roy was born September 1, 1933, in McCamey, Texas to Houston and Versie (Cantwell) Pitts. He graduated from high school in Kerrville, Texas. Roy married Verla Ann Brooks-Culp from Columbus, Ohio on October 16, 1969. He owned and operated Fund Administration Services in Indianapolis, Indiana, in which he managed employee benefit plans for several unions. Roy sold the business in 1982 and moved to California for ten years. He and his wife, Ann moved to McKinney in 1993 where he was employed with his brother's business, Interstate Business Management for several years. Roy later opened his own franchise office in McKinney doing bookkeeping and taxes for clients until June 2009. Roy was a member of Christ Fellowship Church in McKinney, Texas and served the Lord as an usher for several years. Roy is survived by his wife, Ann Pitts of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Sabrina Kirby of Odessa, Texas; son, Chuck Culp of Blacklick, Ohio; daughter, Jeanne Clark of Columbus, Ohio, and son, Tim Culp of Gahanna, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Adrian Pitts of Farmersville, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Anthony Pitts, step-father, Felix Woodard, and step-brother, Ivan Woodard. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Pastor Rob Gore officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
