US Congressman. Elected to represent Michigan's 13th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1920 to 1921, 1923 to 1937, and 1939 to 1941. He was defeated as a Republican in 1936, 1940, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1948, 1950, and 1952. Also served as a Candidate for Mayor of Detroit, Michigan, in 1937.
