Evelyn May (Eve) Burnett passed away peacefully in her home with her family close by on Tuesday, June 21, 2011.

Eve was eighty-nine years old and survived by her husband Harold Burnett, children David, Leslee, Brian, and Tracey, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Born Evelyn May Pinney on November 1, 1921 in Marion, Indiana, her family moved to Los Angeles in 1930.

She married Harold Burnett on August 26, 1945 and lived in Bell Gardens then Whittier, where she remained the rest of her life.

Eve was very active in the Girl Scouts, PTA, and served her community as president and board member of the Whittier Union High School District.

All are invited to attend a memorial service and reception in Eve's honor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Rose Hills in Whittier, CA.
