Rensselaer - Julia Ann MacPhail Frey, 51, a secretary at Jasper-Newton Mental Health Center for six years, was killed at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in an auto accident in Newton County. She lived at 111 N. McKinley Ave., Rensselaer.
Born Oct. 27, 1934 in Morocco, she was educated at Rensselaer High School. Her marriage was Feb. 15, 1984, in Brownsville, Texas, to Andrew "Brick" Frey. He survives.
Mrs. Frey was affiliated with St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Theresa Marie MacPhail; her mother, Ruby Beatrice McKinney Spencer; three sisters, Mrs. James (Grace) Peterson and Miss Patricia A. McKinney, all of Rensselaer, and Mrs. Arturo (Gloria) Koenig of Kentland; and two brothers, Jimmy J. Coley of Compton, Ill., and Kenneth R. Coley of Rensselaer.
The funeral is Wednesday in Rensselaer.
