William Richard Todd was born to Marksey Lafayette and Laura Crawford Todd. Laura died during or soon after Bill was born and he was cared for by a young girl who lived nearby. That young girl was Ardelia McCurdy - an 11 year old neighbor and family friend. She was the only mother Bill ever knew. She later married M.L. Todd. She loved Bill just as her other children and never showed any difference in him and her natural born children. I do not currently know where his birth mother is laid to rest as I've never been able to find it. Until I find her, he is connected below as a full sibling to other children. Bill had 10 siblings. All of them lived their lives in Arkansas or Oklahoma other than Bill and his brother John Todd who moved to TX in about 1941.

Bill left Arkansas around 1910 and lived in Texas a while, where he met and married Lula, his wife. They married 27 Sep 1910 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX. They moved back to Arkansas then to Ardmore, Oklahoma, and later spent time in Mississippi for a while, before moving to Eugene, OR The remainder of Bill's life was in the Eugene area where he and his wife raised a son, Cecil Elijah. They are all three buried together here. Bill is my great uncle.
