Broomfield, Donald E. 82 1/20/1927 4/12/2009 Don was born in Hemphill, W.Va., and moved to Portland in 1959. Don worked at Sears, the U.S. Postal Service and later with his wife in a Jafra Cosmetics business. In 1993 Don was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and volunteered for several research programs at OHSU.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, in New Hope Community Church. Remembrances can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o Pacific Gardens Alzheimer's Special Care Facility, 17309 N.E. Glisan, Portland OR 97030.
