Eloise was born February 15, 1934 in Fairport, Kansas, the daughter of Otto and Ethel (Palmer) Reich. She grew up and attended schools in the Natoma and Fairport area. She graduated from Paradise High School in 1951


She attended College At Ft. Hays State University.

She ultimatly received her B.A. from the University of Denver. Eloise spent most of her adult life in the Denver metro area. She was married in 1954, to Johnny Yost, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gorham Kansas. They moved to Denver, Colorado, and had three children, David, Pamela, and Scott. She is survived by her husband , children, and six grandchildren. She was an elementary school teacher and loved the profession. Her dearest friend was Maria Hoffman, they were like sisters.
