Nebraska Governor. Served as Governor of Nebraska from 1923 to 1925, and 1931 to 1935. Also served as a Mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska from 1915 to 1917, and 1935 to 1937, he was defeated in 1926, 1928, and 1938, and Democratic Candidate for Vice President of the United States in 1924. He was the brother of William Jennings Bryan.
