Ruth Elizabeth (Hardy) Connolly, 91, passed away April 5, 2011 at the Glenburnie Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Richmond, VA after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Boston, MA and retired to Nettles Island, Jensen Beach, FL coming from Weymouth and Saquish Beach, Plymouth, MA. She had served as president of the Newcomer's Club in Weymouth and the Women's Club of Nettles Island and was a member of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Jensen Beach, FL. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and George Fey of Hobe Sound, FL; son Joseph of Weymouth, MA; grandchildren Cheryl Carroll of Crozet, VA, Holly Fey of Richmond, VA, Hayley and Marykate Connolly of Halifax, MA; great grandchildren Aaron, Amanda and Addison Carroll, all of Crozet, VA and brother Richard Hardy, FL. Mrs. Connolly was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Connolly; brothers James, Robert, George, Herbert, and sisters Ethel, Harriet and Nellie. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date in St. Albert's Catholic Church, Weymouth, MA. Arrangements are by McDonald Funeral Home, S. Weymouth, MA.
