Television Producer. He produced the film, "Satchmo The Great" in 1957, and the television shows, "Back That Fact" (1953), "See It Now" (1951-1958), with Edward R. Murrow, "Who Said That?" (1948-1955), and "CBS Reports" (1959-1964). Born Ferdinand Wachenheimer Friendly, he began his career working for a Rhode Island radio station. He was President of CBS News from 1964 to 1966.
