Jaidyn was only 14 months old when he disappeared from his mother's boyfriend's home in the early hours of the morning of June 15th, 1997. A massive search was carried out, the largest manhunt in Victoria, Australia history. His tiny body was found floating in Blue Rock Dam on New Years Day of 1998. The available evidence pointed towards his mother's boyfriend, Greg Domaszewicz, but jurors found him innocent and he was released from custody. The case was detailed in Michael Gleeson's book "The Jaidyn Leskie Murder." A plaque at Blue Rock Dam commemorates the boy with the words "Jaidyn Raymond Leskie: This plaque is to commemorate the life of a wonderful little boy whose body was recovered from this site on 1/1/1998 following his disappearance on 14/6/1997."
