Melvin Orlo Shippy of Yonker, Saskatchewan died in the influenza pandemic. He was the son of Hiram E. Shippy who came from Crooked Lake, Livingston Co., Michigan, to homestead north of Senlac (the family were part of a small Mormon settlement in the area).
