KOUTROULAKIS, Constantine "Gus" George, 81 passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his residence in Homewood. Gus, a beloved icon of Birmingham was most notably recognizd as the owner and operator of Pete's Famous Hot Dogs where he worked for over 63 years.

Preceded in death by parents, George and Evgenia Koutroulakis; niece, Mary Kathryn Christ; nephew, George Sam Koutroulakis; great niece, Tasis Pitsakis and sister-in-law, May Chakides Koutroulakis, he is survived by his wife, Katherine Melton Kputroulakis; brother, Dr. Sam Koutroulakis; sisters, Tasia Argires (Dr. James Argires) and Lula Christ (Chris); nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; cousins in Greece.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Holy Triniy-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral with a committal service to follw at Elmwood Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Holy Trinity-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral in his memory. "May his memory be eternal as Gus was one of a kind"
