Raymond Edward Petersen was born July 13, 1914, in Murray County, the son of Louis and Katie (Janssen) Petersen. He received his education in the Murray County schools. He married Elise Ann (Winterbauer) Zipf. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Elise; one sister, Esther (Orville) Bulick of Logansport, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur Petersen.
