Obituary, The Oklahoman, March 3, 1994
Hazel Alice Hart Linder died March 1, 1994 unexpectedly after suffering severe edema followed by two sudden strokes. She was born July 17, 1905 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was the first of seven children born to Laura Jane Aikin and Armour Miller Hart. She moved to Oklahoma City before statehood when she was three months old and lived for nearly 21 years in a home on East 7th Street, which was built by her father, who was a master carpenter. The family moved to North Ellison street in 1926. She attended Lowell Elementary School, a few blocks from East 7th and graduated from Central High School in 1924.

She possessed a great memory and was the family historian, remembering all family, dates and places. In spite of her physical handicaps, she was very courageous and found comfort studying the Bible and became a Bible scholar. She was a member of Maywood Presbyterian Church, the Christian Missionary Alliance, Olivet Baptist, and for the past 36 years, she was a member of the Northwest Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday School class, the "Willing Workers". Fiercely independent, she treasured her home life and was devastated by her loss of personal freedom and liberty the last eight months due to illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a little sister, Edith; two sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Martin, Kathryn Snidow; and a brother, Lt. Ralph Miller (Bill) Hart in World War II. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, her survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Charlotte Irene Bierig and Bob, Frances Hart Morgan and Bobby; three granddaughters, Jana Leigh Garlitz of Oklahoma City, Barbara Elterman of New Mexico and Debbie Bierig of California; three grandsons, Bobby Morgan, Jr., Bob Bierig, Jr. and Roger Bierig of California; seven great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Frances Frakes of Kansas City, Missouri; and brother, Ray Armour Hart of Oklahoma City. The family gives special thanks to Wilma and Mildred for their kindness and help. Now her suffering is over and she is with Jesus. 'Night Mother, we love you and will miss you immensely.' Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 1994 at Northwest Baptist Church Chapel. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City.
