Myron M. Keith was born in July 1842 in Ohio, son of Martin L. Keith and Rachel (–?–). On 4 September 1850, Myron lived with his parents and siblings Marvin, Calvin, Mary, and Jane in Carlisle, Lorain County, Ohio. He had attended school in the previous year. On 1 June 1860, Myron lived with his father, stepmother, and siblings Marvin, Calvin, Alice, Lida, and Frances. He was working as a farmer.

Myron enlisted as a Private in Company H of the 8th Ohio Infantry on 6 June 1861. He was mustered out on 21 January 1863. Myron applied for a Civil War invalid's pension on 13 June 1863. He registered for the Civil War draft in 1863 while living at Carlysle, Loraine County, Ohio.

Myron was married on 10 February 1868 in Dunn County, Wisconsin to Anna L. Hull. Anna was born on 16 July 1852/1853 in Pennsylvania, daughter of Daniel B. Hull and Elizabeth Henery. They have not been located on the 1870 census.

In 10 June 1880, the couple lived with two sons Martin and Edgar, as well as Anna's 10-year-old sister Ella Hull lived in West Blue, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Myron worked as a mail carrier while Anna was keeping house.

On 8 June 1900, the couple and three children- Edgar, Allice, and Ruby- lived at 432 Webster Street in Traverse City. Myron worked as a janitor.

On 28 April 1910, Myron was an inmate at the Northern Michigan Asylum. Anna has not been located on the 1910 census.

Myron died on 17 January 1916 at the State Hospital from organic brain disease. Anna applied for a Civil War widow's pension on 24 January 1916.

Anna has not been located on the 1920 census. Anna died from arterio sclerosis on 19 December 1920 in Solon, Leelanau County.

Myron and Anna were buried in Oakwood Cemetery.

Myron and Anna (Hull) Keith were the parents of six children (two dead before 1900):

i. MARTIN DANIEL KEITH was born circa 1870 in Wisconsin.
ii. EDGAR WILEY KEITH was born on 6 January 1879 in Fairmont, Fillmore County, Nebraska.
iii. ALICE E. KEITH was born in September 1881 in Nebraska.
iv. RUBY E. KEITH was born in December 1883 in Pennsylvania.
