Callie (Poston) Christian
Gate City, Va. _______ Mrs. Callie L. "Doan" Christian, 78, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday in Holston Valley Community Hospital after a lingering illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, Va. and a member of King's Highway Temple Church.
She is survived by three sons; Everette (Leck) Christian, Tell City, Ind., Ben M. Christian, E?, Fla.; J.M. Estep, Mendota, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Clayla Grogan, Alexandria, Va., Mrs. Vesta Williams; Mrs. Julia Tipton, Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Spears, all of Gate City, Va.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys Darnell, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; 41 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Callie L. "Doan" Christian, age 78, of Gate City, Va., will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Warren Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Dice officiating. Internment will follow in Holston View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Grandson's will serve as pallbearers.
