Michael L. Bragg, age 59, of Columbus, passed away suddenly May 22, 2006 at his residence. Mike was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School, class of 1964. After graduating from school, Mike served his country in the U.S. Navy and found his professional calling, food service. After leaving the Navy, Mike became a manager for Rax restaurants and later owned and operated Bragg's Roast Beef Restaurant with his wife Lily. While operating the restaurant, Mike's coney sauce won the award for "Best Coney Sauce in the City" from Columbus Monthly magazine. He later became one of the owners of Quality Produce Company, and for the last several years he has been a salesperson for Joseph Mercurio Co. where he is known to all his clients as the "Vegi Man". He was also a member of Moose Lodge #11. Mike's greatest passion was his family and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren's events and spending time with them. He is preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Betty Bragg. Mike is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of nearly forty years, Lillian "Lily" Bragg; children, Jeff (Helen) Bragg of Orient and Lori (Pat) France of Columbus; he was "Grandpa Mike" to Amber, Jeffrey, Olivia, Lyndsay, and Madison; his sister, Sue Williamson of Grove City; Aunt Ella Mae (Glenn) Boyer of Canal Winchester; mother-in-law, Norma Brown of Columbus; brother-in-law, Mike (Geri) Brown of Marengo; and many other family members and friends. Mike's family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006.
